CUPPING event

Saturday, October 2nd | 1pm in our Conference Room

You’re invited to our coffee cupping event! Join us for an opportunity to cup one of the finest coffees that Sago has yet to offer: a natural, Sudan Rume, Bourbon, Geisha from Valle de Cauca Columbia. Tickets are $20 per person.

What is a cupping? A cupping is a meticulous process of tasting coffee to ensure the quality of taste in what a coffee has to offer. It’s a way to learn what we enjoy about an individual coffee, and helps develop a palate for distinct tasting notes that are hidden within coffee around the world.

Coffee graders often use cuppings in a more meticulous way that require strict protocols and scoring to ensure consistency from person to person and coffee to coffee.

Coffee Roasters use cuppings to make informed decisions about any inconsistencies and updates they would want to make to a coffee’s roast profile.

Consumers can also join in on cuppings to learn about what they like and enjoy about a coffee individually. This helps develop a palate for the distinct tasting notes that are hidden within coffees from all parts of the world!
